About Listing Labels

Louvers that meet the stringent requirements of Miami-Dade County, the state of Florida or other hurricane-prone areas should be listed by AMCA International. This listing verifies that the louver can withstand the impact of an eight-foot, 2 in. by 4 in. plank of wood traveling at up to 80 ft/s or effectively keep a mechanical room dry during a storm with winds up to 110 mph. It is important to keep up with Title 24 requirements when selling economizers and air handlers in California. Economizer dampers and outside air dampers must now be AMCA Leakage Class 1A, 1, or 2. By placing labels on the outside of this equipment, code inspectors can easily identify low leakage dampers.

Certified Ratings Program (CRP) Seals & Listing Labels

The Seals and Listing labels of the AMCA Certified Rating Program are protected by copyright and owned by the Air Movement and Control Association (AMCA) International, Inc. It is strictly prohibited to reproduce these seals labels. Seals or labels are exclusively obtained through AMCA International USA headquarters.

Only the licensee is authorized to apply seals or labels, as listed in the License Agreement appendices, in accordance with the Certified Ratings Program Operating Manual (AMCA Publication 11-22) and the AMCA Listing Label Program (AMCA Publication 512-23). Failure to adhere to these standards may result in fines, violation notices, and product suspensions.

CRP Seal Quick-Response Codes

A quick-response (QR) code on a CRP seal is unique to the licensee. It will redirect to the licensee's product page in the AMCA Certified Ratings Program (CRP) directory. This helps users to verify the certification of the product. From February 3, 2024, AMCA will no longer approve catalogs that do not have CRP seal QR codes.

Any media referencing seals or labels require AMCA review for accuracy before publication or distribution. There will be no cost associated with reviewing media that are only changing to incorporate CRP seal QR codes. While there are no specific sizes, a QR code in a licensee’s product catalog must be large enough to be functional.

We advise licensees to utilize their current seal inventory before adopting the new QR code seals. Once the current inventory is exhausted, only the QR code version of the seal will be available. Please note that the physical dimensions of the seals will remain unchanged.
