We are the Air Movement and Control Association (AMCA) International, a not-for-profit association of the world's manufacturers of fans, louvers, dampers, air curtains, air flow measurement devices, ducts, acoustic attenuators and other air system components. Our association was founded in the United States, but we have expanded to be truly international. AMCA is now represented in several regions, with 350 member companies in 34 countries. Asia AMCA operates out of Malaysia and European AMCA operates out of Brussels. A Middle East AMCA is in the process of formation, and it will operate out of Dubai. Since its inception in 1917, our mission was to advance the health, growth and integrity of our industry. Nearly a century later, that mission remains unchanged.
As AMCA looks back on 100 years of service to the industry, a common thread ties the stories from its history together. That thread is the its dedication to inclusion. AMCA is the association it is today because, in 1917, competing U.S. fan companies decided to include each other in conversations instead shutting each other out. This cooperation promoted the industry’s well-being over individual short-term victories, and it established a precedence for integrity.
