Air System Testing that Delivers Confidence

Ensure your product data is reliable and accurate by testing with the only third-party testing body exclusively dedicated to the air systems industry. The Air Movement and Control Association (AMCA) International Accredited Laboratory performs thousands of tests annually, providing confidence in the quality and reliability of your product to manufacturers, purchasers, specifiers, and users.

Real-World Testing Conditions

AMCA laboratories can test more than 20 air system products for various efficiencies, leakage, stability, and sound. We can evaluate your products based on their performance. Replicating real-world conditions such as rain, sand, wind, extreme temperatures, and other environmental factors enables us to test how well your product can withstand category-three hurricanes, desert sandstorms, and other harsh conditions.

Raising the Standard in Testing

Referenced in engineering specifications worldwide, AMCA test standards are accredited by the American National Standards Institute (ANSI), with most methods harmonized with the International Organization for Standardization (ISO).

The type of product and performance of interest dictates which AMCA/ANSI Test Standard and AMCA Rating Program Document is applied. Sometimes, two products tested in the same way can be rated differently.

AMCA standards are essential peer-vetted resources that are continually revised to accommodate changing codes and regulations, ensuring that your product testing will always reflect current best practices.

Testing vs Certified

Participating in the AMCA Certified Ratings Program (CRP) is distinct from testing a product following AMCA standards or testing in an AMCA-accredited laboratory. To be AMCA Certified, the product data must undergo a complete process that includes application, testing, review, certification, and verification. This process ensures that the product has met the industry's highest standards and is the most trusted and recognized certification. AMCA CRP provides accountability for published data, leading to efficient air systems in buildings worldwide.

The water penetration chamber test can simulate eight inches of rainfall per hour and wind speeds of 50 mph.

The AMCA Laboratory Accreditation Program is governed by AMCA Publication 111. It provides a means for laboratory qualification for testing products in accordance with test methods recognized by AMCA. Laboratory accreditation involves rigorous audits of test equipment and laboratory procedures to ensure the integrity and competence of the laboratory.

  • Laboratory accreditation is not a substitute for AMCA product certification.
  • Product performance data based on tests in an AMCA Accredited Laboratory are not to be construed as being licensed to bear the AMCA Seal.

The AMCA Certified Ratings Program (CRP) for products is separate and distinct from AMCA’s Laboratory Accreditation Program. However, laboratory accreditation is not a prerequisite for a manufacturer to obtain AMCA Certified Ratings for products.

Please visit the AMCA Directory of Certified Products to verify if a product is certified.

The manufacturers listed below are currently licensed under AMCA’s Laboratory Accreditation.
