The Most Trusted Certification in the Air Systems Industry

Market requirements for air systems are continuously evolving. To ensure the most efficient path to product testing, inspection, certification, and assurance, manufacturers and stakeholders worldwide turn to AMCA International’s Certified Ratings Program (CRP).

Certified Ratings Program (CRP)

AMCA International CRP assures buyers, specifiers, and users that a product line has been thoroughly tested and rated in compliance with rigorous test standards and rating requirements, enabling the selection of the appropriate air system components that fulfill required performance specifications.

Manufacturing companies that regularly design, fabricate, assemble, and sell a product(s) within the AMCA air systems scope are eligible for AMCA CRP. Participation in the program is voluntary. Learn about the Path to Certification.

Every certified product line is subjected to continued check tests in AMCA accredited laboratories and is open to challenge testing from any third party or competitor.

Proven Assurance

AMCA is accredited through the American Association for Laboratory of Accreditation (A2LA) for complying with ISO/IEC 17025 for testing and calibration and ISO/IEC 17065 for providing certification to other companies. Learn more about our ISO/IEC 17065 accreditation certification, product types, and standards.

The Path to Certification

The AMCA International Certified Ratings Program (CRP) is a symbol of integrity and continues to expand worldwide.

Eligibility

Manufacturing companies that regularly design, fabricate, assemble, and sell products within the scope of AMCA air systems can participate in the program as either a member or affiliate. AMCA is a not-for-profit organization that offers knowledge, expertise, and certification resources exclusively to its members and affiliates through an application process.

Member or Affiliate Application

Determine if your company would like to apply as an AMCA member or affiliate. Companies that value the latest market developments, strive to make a positive impact in the air systems industry, and prioritize certification, enjoy being an AMCA member. Companies that prefer to focus on certification testing choose the affiliate path to certification. Review AMCA member benefits.

Certification is an investment of time and resources, with the average path to certification taking up to seven months. Review AMCA Certification Steps for full details.

California Energy Commission (CEC) Title 20 Compliance Filing Service

Certified Rating Program (CRP) participants can elect for AMCA to file on your behalf for California Title 20 compliance, serve as an intermediary between the California Energy Commission (CEC) and the program participant, and facilitate filing issues. Once your company is enrolled in the compliance filing program, AMCA will send an automatic notification when the CEC accepts your submittal.

Modernized Appliance Efficiency Database System

The commercial-and-industrial-fans-and-blowers section of the CEC’s Modernized Appliance Efficiency Database System (MAEDbS) is publicly available, however with the announced alignment with the U.S. Department of Energy’s fan-efficiency rulemaking, changes to the required data to file for compliance is expected. When we confirm how the data is formatted and received by MAEDbS, we will import information from the CRP database.

Program participants will need to provide any remaining information needed to complete the filing. The information required for compliance filing can be found in Table X of Section 1606, Filing by Manufacturers; Listing of Appliances in MAEDbs.

Changes After CEC Submission

After submitting the initial performance data, any changes that impact data must be promptly refiled. Inform AMCA of any changes that affect data or if you add or discontinue models for updated filing.

Outside AMCA Accredited Laboratory Testing

AMCA is unable to file for products tested outside of an AMCA accredited laboratory. Should you choose to test products in your own laboratory, your company will need to register its laboratory with the CEC through MAEDbS.

If not all your products are in the CRP, you can file for compliance with the CEC directly, or enroll your product(s) in the CRP.

All services will be billed at rates in effect at the time of completion. Prices are non-negotiable and subject to change without notice.

AMCA CRP Market Surveillance Report

If you believe you have seen a violation of the AMCA CRP program and would like us to investigate it, please complete the form below.

Certified Ratings Program (CRP) Seals & Listing Labels

The AMCA Certified Rating Program Seals and Listing labels are the property of the Air Movement and Control Association (AMCA) International, Inc. Reproductions of seals and labels are prohibited and can only be obtained and ordered through AMCA International USA headquarters.

Seals and labels can only be applied to products by the licensee, as listed in the License Agreement appendices in accordance with AMCA Publication 11-22 | Certified Ratings Program Operating Manual and AMCA Publication 512-09 | AMCA Listing Label Program. Failure to follow the standard will result in fines, violations, and product suspension.

CRP Seal Quick-Response Codes

A manufacturer’s custom QR code is specific to that manufacturer. It will direct to the manufacturer’s product(s) page in the AMCA Certified Ratings Program (CRP) directory, where users verify the product’s certification. AMCA will only approve catalogs with Quick-Response (QR) codes after February 3, 2024, one year after AMCA Publication 11-22 release.

Any media referencing seals or labels require AMCA review for accuracy before publication or distribution. There will be no cost associated with a review if the only change made was to incorporate the QR code. While there are no specific sizes, a QR code in a manufacturer’s product catalog must be large enough to be functional.

We encourage licensees to use their existing inventory of seals before transitioning to the new QR code seals. After depleting the current inventory, we will only stock the QR code version of the seal. The physical dimensions of seals will not change.

Ordering Seals, Listing Labels and QR Codes

Certified Rating Program Seals are available in two sizes and ordered in quantities of 1,000 for USD 100.00.

  • Large 1.75 inches (4.5 cm) wide x 2.75” (7 cm) high
  • Small 1 inch (2.7 cm) wide x 1.8 inches (4.6 cm) high

Listing Labels are available in rolls of 250 at USD 25.00 with a minimum order of USD 50.00 for 500 labels. Label dimensions are 3.6 inches (9.144 cm) wide by 1.2 inches (3.048 cm) high.
